Massage in Harrow – Do You Want to Provide Superior Back Massages?
Many people like getting a massage but very few people feel comfortable providing a massage to someone else. The possibility of causing hurt to another person is a very genuine concern. Also, it’s possible to feel afraid that the massage might not be good enough. We’re afraid that others won’t like what we are doing. Fortunately, it is definitely possible to learn how to give a terrific massage each time you would like to do so. Here is how you can give a terrific back massage every time you wish to.
First, be sure that the person is comfortable while he lies down. The surface on which they are lying down has to be firm but soft. You don’t need a fancy massage table table but you can have them lie down on a bed. If they are lying on the floor, spread some soft blankets, towels or a mat so that the person will feel comfortable. If the person chooses to remain clothed (and majority of people will), make sure that the shirt they are wearing is made of soft material so there won’t be as much friction or scratching.
Start with the simple rub. Slowly, and using the full flat side of both of your hands, rub up from the base of the back and toward the neck. Put a little pressure into this but avoid using full massage pressure just yet. Start out at the base of the back and then move your hands upward, along both sides of the spine toward the neck then move across the shoulders and work your way back down the back. As you do this, try to make each “loop” of the back smaller so that you are sure to get to all areas of the back.
Try to use the heels of your hands to make good and specific pressure. Move the heels of your palms in tiny circles starting out in the middle of the base of the back and then working out toward the sides, upwards and then back toward the backbone until you’ve done this to the whole back.
Sit on one side of the person who is getting your massage. Next, place one hand on top of the other and thrust into the back with only your fingers. Start with the spinal column and thrust steadily away from the spinal column, across your back and then very gently rub your hands back toward the backbone. Repeat this process as you massage up the back and then repeat on the person’s other side.
Rub the spine. Starting out with the base of the spine, work your way up each of the sausage like muscles on either side of the spine by rubbing in small circles with a couple of fingers or your thumbs. Work up some friction in each node by rubbing each one at least five times. Massage your way all the way up one side of the spine and then repeat the same thing on the other side of the spine.
Something that you have to keep in mind as you use each of these techniques is that it is a good idea to re-relax the person between each part of the massage that you give. This means that after you have used the heels of your hands for specific applied pressure, you need to go back to the rub you used at the beginning for a couple of minutes.
