Massage in West London – Do You Want to Give Great Back Massages?
Majority of folks like getting a massage but very few people feel comfortable providing a massage to someone else. We’re frightened of unintentionally causing pain to the other person. The fear of not helping enough is a huge one. We get scared that the other person won’t appreciate what we are trying to do. The great news is that you can learn how to give a great massage whenever you wish to do so. Below are several tips on how to give an amazing back massage.
The first thing that you need to do is see to it that the individual is comfortable when he or she lies down. They need to be laying down on a surface that is firm yet soft. If you don’t have to have a table, you might try them on the bed. If they are on your floor, place a mat or a few soft blankets or towels so that they will feel more relaxed. If the person wants to remain clothed (and many will), see to it that the shirt they are wearing is made of soft material so there won’t be as much friction or chafing.
Begin with some standard rubbing. Use the whole flat side of both hands to rub from the lower back toward the neck (do this in a slow manner). Put a bit of pressure into this but don’t apply full massage pressure at this point. Start at the base of the back and then move your hands upward, along both sides of the spinal column toward the neck then move across the shoulders and work your way back down the back. As you keep doing this, make each “loop” of the back smaller so that you can be sure to get to all areas of the back.
You can provide good and direct pressure when you try using the heels of your hands. Using the heels of your palms to apply pressure, start out working in little circles at the base of the back on either side of the spinal column and then work those tiny circles out toward the person’s sides, up a little bit and then back across to the spinal column and upward until you have massaged the entire back area.
Try sitting at the side of the person obtaining the massage. Then, having one hand on top of the other hand, thrust into the back using your fingers. Get start at the spinal column and thrust steadily and with firm pressure across the back away from the backbone and then gently sort of move your hands back across the back toward the backbone and move upwards. Repeat the process as you work your way up the back and then do this on the other side.
Work the backbone. Starting with the base of the spinal column, work your way up each of the sausage like muscles on either side of the backbone by rubbing in tiny circles with a couple of fingers or your thumbs. Knead each node at least five times each so that you can work up some friction. Work up one side of the spinal column and then the other.
Something that you should keep in mind as you use each of these techniques is that it is good to re-relax the person between each part of the massage that you give. This means that after you’re done with one technique, do the basic rub that you used at the beginning of the massage for several minutes.
